One question
What does Arc Wallet do in an identity flow?
The wallet manages identities and credentials; applications still evaluate requests.
- Identities and credentialsmanaged through→
- Arc Wallethelps users handle→
- Application requests
Arc Wallet is an application for creating and managing DIDs and related credentials. Its former name is DID Wallet.
Imagine entering an application that asks for evidence of training. Observe separately which identity the wallet uses, what the request asks to present, and which rules the application applies.
The wallet is your tool for participating. It is neither the training institution behind the credential nor the application’s permission policy. This explains how one wallet can participate in different applications without every application accepting the same evidence.

A wallet also connects to blockchain: on-chain payment involves the relevant network’s transactions and signatures. This does not put every DID operation on-chain or imply support for every chain.

Does keeping a credential in a wallet mean all apps accept it?
No. Each verifier determines its acceptance conditions.
