What does a verifiable credential make verifiable?
Check authorship and integrity, then decide whether to accept the claim.
A verifiable credential provides checkable authorship and integrity for claims. Verification does not establish that every claim is true.
Imagine a training center issuing a camera-maintenance course credential. A recipient checks its issuer and whether its data changed, then decides whether the course meets its requirements.
The training center is the issuer and the recipient checking it is the verifier. The holder keeps or presents it; the subject is whom it describes. Holder and subject can coincide in this example without being identical in every credential system.
