How does Proof of History differ from consensus?
Ordering evidence and acceptance of history are related but distinct.
Solana’s terminology describes Proof of History as verifiable sequential proofs relating data and ordering over time.
As an analogy, numbering meeting records helps discuss sequence, but does not alone decide which records to accept. The analogy is not the cryptographic implementation.
Do not reduce Solana consensus to PoH. Validator participation, voting, fork choice and finality need separate examination, along with the deployed network version.
