What does DID Names manage?

Domain management and DID methods belong to different layers.

DID Names is domain management built on DIDs and verifiable credentials. One account can manage multiple domains. It was previously called DID Domain.

Imagine managing domains for a project, an event and a portfolio. A management tool answers how to administer those domains and relevant permissions; that does not turn DNS names into a new did: URI method.

Identify the domain, the identity managing it and the credential expressing eligibility separately. These objects can be related without being the same identifier.
