AUP cross-device primitive · ARC 2.0.0-beta.28

`explorer` primitive

Explorer is a composition pattern over list/stat/preview surfaces, not a document widget.

explorer is an AUP cross-device primitive, not a Web Device layout component and not a Web-only widget. It is one of the 18 names in AUP_PRIMITIVES and appears in every target's DeviceCaps.primitives map as native, webview, partial, or unsupported.

When to use

IDE-style directory browser compositions with declarative select/navigate retargeting.

When not to use

Do not treat explorer as a single layout component. Document has no native explorer renderer.

Document sample

Not provided. Document capability is unsupported. Explorer demos are multi-node compositions (see Showcase explorer) and require interactive data paths. Read afs-list for the list half of that composition — still without a closed live data contract on this site.
