Can the view change while the object stays the same?

Separating context from projection lets multiple views refer to the same operational objects.

One task can appear in a compact list or a presentation card. If both views reference the same task, changing the layout need not create a second business object.

Follow two steps to distinguish the related meanings of projection:

  1. Choose the available working scope. Which tasks can the report organizer access? Can they read them or change their status? This constructs the participant’s resource view.
  2. Choose a presentation. Show those available tasks as a list, cards or another interface. This constructs the visual view a person sees.

Both select what is needed from richer context, but they answer different questions. Switching a list to cards should not by itself expand access.

Scroll position and an open menu may belong to one view. Task completion may belong to the shared business object. The application must explicitly decide which state is shared.
