Is a DID document a personal profile?
It describes verification and interaction information, not a biography.
A DID document describes verification methods, verification relationships and services associated with a DID. It is not a place to publish someone’s name, address and history by default.
An app checking a signature can locate a verification method and check its intended purpose. Finding a service endpoint tells it where to interact; that discovery does not authorize access to the service’s data.
The document does not independently prove real-world identity. A training credential carries a claim from an issuer, while the application decides whether to accept that qualification. Keep those layers separate when deciding what belongs in a publicly accessible document.
