We are sponsoring ICSA 2027, the International Conference on Software Architecture. This edition is held in Sydney, Australia, hosted by CSIRO.

Why this conference

ICSA is about software architecture itself: how a system's structure decides what it can grow into, and whether those structures hold up over time.

The work we have been doing on AFS, AUP and ARC keeps landing on one question: which abstractions are worth ten years. That is an architecture question rather than a product question, which makes an architecture conference a better place to argue it than a product launch.

What we will be doing there

Besides sponsoring, we will have a session. Its shape and subject are not decided yet. When they are, we will update the event page rather than issue another announcement.

Known limitations

  • The session topic and format are not settled. This announcement says we are sponsoring; it does not mean the programme is fixed.
  • Dates and venue are the organizers' to set and can move. This piece deliberately does not state them: see the event page and the conference site instead. The dates published on the conference site already differ from the ones we first announced.
  • Sponsoring implies no relationship with CSIRO or ICSA beyond the sponsorship.
