canvas: Are canvas strokes shared data?

canvas provides freeform drawing; the application connects saving and sharing.

Drawing a line illustrates the difference between interaction and persistence. The reviewed registry describes client-side-only behavior without server events. Shared or persistent strokes require additional data and synchronization mechanisms.

Start with these properties

width and height specify the canvas pixel dimensions. background sets its fill, while strokeColor and strokeWidth set the initial brush color and size. These describe the drawing area and tools, not an address at which strokes are saved.

This example defines a 1024 by 600 drawing area with a light background. It supplies neither a shared data source nor a save action, illustrating why drawing something and recovering it after reopening are separate capabilities.
