How to Get Started?#
Launch Your Own Blocklet Store First#
To guarantee the highest quality and functionality of your blocklets, we highly recommend that each builder practices and tests their blocklet publishing on their own Blocklet Store before submitting to the official store.
The Blocklet Store itself is a Blocklet that anyone can run! ArcBlock's official Blocklet Store is simply our instance of this same Blocklet, and you can easily set up and run your own.
Operating your own Blocklet Store not only provides an excellent testing playground but also deepens your understanding of the end-to-end process from a store owner's perspective. Here are some benefits:
- Test Before Launch: Use your store to conduct thorough tests on your blocklets, ensuring they operate perfectly before they go live on the official Blocklet Store.
- Dedicated Blocklet Store: Owning your store provides an alternative pathway for users to access and install your blocklets, enhancing user reach and engagement.
- Self-sovereignty and Flexibility: Manage the presentation and updates of your blocklets directly, giving you complete control over how your products are displayed and updated.
Setting up and managing your own store is straightforward, and it aligns perfectly with the decentralized nature of our platform, empowering you as a creator and a distributor. Builders without Coding Skills#
You don't need to be a coder to become a Builder!
- Create Your Blocklet: Utilize tools like AIGNE or Blocklet Studio to create your blocklet, ensuring it is complete and useful.
- Test Your Creation: Access our Builder Playground Server (invitation required) to test your blocklet.
- Obtain Your Developer Passport: Either from your store or our Test Store (if you need some TBA, grab from ABT Network Faucet).
- Connect and Upload: Connect your creation to the Test Store and upload it.
- Publish and Review: Publish your blocklet in the Test Store and submit it for our review process (post the link of your blocklet to the Builders Board).
- Gain Access to the Official Store: Upon passing the review, receive your passport to upload and publish on the Official Store.

Builders with Coding Skills#
- Create Your Blocklet: Start by visiting Quick Start Guide and set up your environment to develop a blocklet.
- Develop Locally: Work on your Blocklet Server locally, ensuring your blocklet is complete and useful.
- Bundle and Deploy: Once your blocklet is ready, bundle and deploy it to your local Blocklet Server.
- Obtain Your Developer Passport: Same as above.
- Connect to Test Store: Use blocklet CLI to connect your local development environment to the Test Store.
- Upload and Publish: Upload your blocklet bundle to the Test Store and submit it for review (post the link of your blocklet to the Builders Board).
- Gain Access to the Official Store: Once approved, you'll receive a passport to our Official Store, where you can publish your blocklet to a wider audience.
